According to its continuous development, Matusz-Vad Plc. thought that beside the Hungarian caterer units it could provide qualitative products and services for foreign, and primarily the neighboring countries’ catering industry.

Slovakia

Matusz-Vad Plc. got in touch with Horeca-Express s.r.o. Company centered in Galánta in the year of 2006. Since then, this company has been distributing Matusz-Vad Plc.’s nearly 600 kinds of excellent frozen products throughout Slovakia.

The partner cooperation contract was signed by the two owners, Matusz Balázs (Matusz-Vad Zrt.) and Roman Bukovsky (Horeca-Expres s.r.o.) in Győr, in February 2009.  The Slovak franchise partner can continue its activities in the same way as Matusz-Vad under the aegis of Gastro-Expres brand and logo within the Slovak Republic’s borders.

The franchise-model offers Horeca-Express s.r.o. detailed commercial methods, distribution of the whole range of Matusz-Vad’s products, accurate procuration system, continuous innovation and a firm culture similar to the culture of the multinational companies’. As a part of the know-how given by Matusz-Vad, the slovak franchise partner partakes in the central training programs, the kilters of Matusz-Vad’s suppliers and all the necessary documents for the company’s work. Also, Matusz-Vad Plc. permits the Slovak distribution of the brands exclusively distributed by Matusz-Vad Plc. in Hungary.

The common business plans and continuous audits will ensure the two companies’ long term and tight cooperation.

Romania

The company started its sales activity in Romania, in December 2010. Recently the main areas are Arad, Temesvar and Nagyvarad, but hopefully the professional service will expand to other towns too.

Austria

Beside the above, Matusz-Vad Plc. started to broaden its expansion in the nearby Austrian areas, focusing primarily on the restaurants in Vienna in 2009.

The first step of the foreign expansion, Matusz-Vad Plc. made a serious market research, then created the technical background of the foreign delivery (bought a new cooling van, employed some new colleagues, made a German documentation and product catalogue). Matusz-Vad Plc. took part as a co-exhibitor in „Alles für den Gast” international gastronomy, hotel- and food industry exhibition both in 2009. and 2010.– which is the most significant professional fare in the Central-European region giving an overall picture of the market – that was an other notable step in building foreign relationships and also gave opportunity to make the firsts negotiations. The company started its first deliveries to our western neighbor under the aegis of gastro-Genius logo in 2009. The professional service brought the result: at the end of 2010. export turnover had reached the 1 million Euros.
